The Apostle Paul models this as he passed on the Corinthian church the good news of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:-34) and taught Timothy to pass on the faithful men the things he learned from Paul, so they could teach others (2 Timothy 2:2), and so on; disciples making disciples.

Dawson Trotman, founder of the Navigator ministry provides and illustration that highlights the exponential growth possible through discipleship:

One person leads another person in discipleship.  Each person then starts teaching another in the following six months.  At the end of the year, there are just four of them.  So the four of them in the next six months each get another man or woman; that makes eight at the end of a year and a half.  They all go out after another and at the end of two years there are 16 people.  At the end of three years there are 64; the 16 have doubled twice.  At the end of five years there are 1,024.  At the end of fifteen and a half years there are approximately 2,147,500,000.

Repentance means to change your mind, to change direction from going away from God in sin then turning back to God through Jesus resulting in forgiveness of sin.  When that changed life in Jesus Christ is reproduced in another person (disciple), the discipleship process has taken place.

Jesus invites people who are weary and carry heavy burdens to come to Him and find rest, to come under His leadership  and walk in His strength and direction and learn from Him (be His disciple) to find rest for their souls (Matthew 11:28-30).

Faith That Moves invests in the lives of individuals in homelessness with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, leading individuals to faith in Jesus Christ, their lives would be transformed (Romans 12:2), and be rooted and built up in Him (Colossians 2:6-7), to develop faith that mountains out of their lives, get their man or woman and begin discipleship with him or her, as we see homelessness disappear.
